Halon Tax Reviews in January 2025: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

So far so good after 1+ year.

I have been using Halon Tax since last year and it is a reasonable solution for individuals needing to standard accounting practices in place. With the transition from only doing taxes to a larger accounting solution time will tell if the value stays the same.

RUN away.

Do not waste your time with this firm. Initially signed on with them for a monthly contract. Everything seemed great, included tax returns (business and personal), bookkeeping help, able to ask questions, etc. Three months into it, they changed their business offerings around, charging the same amount of money and limiting what they would help with. Awful to deal with. The onboarding process does a great job of selling services but they can't deliver on any of their promises. Stay away from this terrible company.

Be sure to read all the reviews, they weren't lying! Quick to take your money, slow to do any work or communicate with you. Filed our taxes late and won't cover fees & penalties. What a scam.

Poor communication

Poor communication. It took me three months to prove I paid for my taxes to be completed. They failed to let me know the extension deadline. Really poor service overall. Oh and did I mention they collected $1800 and never filed my taxes. I highly recommend against hiring this service. Save money and get your taxes completed by going elsewhere.

They never put my 2019 taxes through! When I attempted to get in the dashboard, I could get in, but my returns were not loaded in the system. I sent Sara a message in a chat to see if there was a reason I did not have access to MY information... that I paid $300 to have them complete. Do yourself a favor and run away

I've never had such a terrible experience with a tax accounting company! They provided absolutely zero guidance or tax planning for my personal or business taxes. They refused to provide a refund without providing services. I would have been better off doing them myself on Turbo Tax.I signed up for Halon tax services at the end of 2019 until September 2020. Don’t recommend, they’ll waste your money

After using turbo tax for a few years I reached out to Halon Tax expecting skilled service. Unfortunately my tax forms were not filled out correctly, information was left out, and I had to hire a different accountant to take care of the mess. Not only I had lots of work to re-do but I wasted all my money by using this company. Do not recommend - you’re better off by using turbo tax.

Beyond Unsatisfied
