DNN for Managing an IIS Farm
What do you like best? note: the likelihood of recommendation is dependent upon the size of the environment in question. I have a "leaning" towards DNN being more applicable to smaller, one node(web head), environments. A very capable content management system for smaller environments, for sure. It's quite easy to manage modules and specific page content. I have to admit, from a systems administrative perspective, I do not manage the content as other departments do, however. I deploy ...

DNN framework one of best Web CMS..
What do you like best? I have worked extensively using DNN Framework to develop customize CMS application using .NET Framework, Silverlight, Visual Studio etc. Its very much flexible to inject customize modules and at the same time taking advantage of existing modules and cross cutting concerns like security, logging etc. It has various interception points where we can add custom aspects as per requirement. The project was a big success in a very short span of time. As a Architect, ...

Great customer service, but the CMS is idiosyncratic to say the least
I had a superb customer service experience with a representative named Chad Weiss, which is why I am writing this review. My opinion of DNN as a CMS has actually improved as I have become acquainted with, and learned to work around, its idiosyncrasies. Nevertheless, I do find some of its quirks frustrating, including the fact that it is occasionally difficult to implement revisions to heading tags that should be simple without breaking the design. Nevertheless, I am starting to make my ...

Test VS Prod
There is no easy way for users to preview a test site, and then load it to production. We have only found that you must look at each page and then publish or not.

DNN software - room for improvement
DNN software has met most of our needs overall but.....We’d like more testing on the upgrades and patches that you supply to avoid rollbacks and issues. One suggestion we'd really like to make to you is to provide some in house skins in the DNN store that are approved, tested and built by you. We would know then that they are compatible with your product and DNN approved. We would also like you to review the templates and items that are put in your DNN store for quality and that a solid and ...

A good, basic CMS
What do you like best? Easy to switch to source code editor. Editor UI makes sense and is easy to understand. What do you dislike? Templates and modules can be cumbersome to work with, compared to other CMS. WYSIWYG editor is finicky. Recommendations to others considering the product Take time to weigh the pros and cons of using Evoq Content versus Wordpress. Setup and maintenance is not as intuitive as other CMS options. Themes, plugins, and other add-ons can incur a significant cost ...

Software is fine, customer service leaves a lot to be desired
I had a notice from my developer one week ago that we had a payment due, at that time I informed him that I had not gotten anything prior as far as an invoice. He contacted you with no response. Then 2 days ago, he gets a note that the account was going into collections. Seriously? 1 week after I got the invoice. If I could switch platforms on the fly, I would.
