"Ultimate NAS Solution"

What do you like best about DiskStation? If you are looking for a NAS provider, Synology is great and there software is top notch. What do you dislike about DiskStation? Nothing, it is like its own Operating system but for you NAS devices. What problems is DiskStation solving and how is that benefiting you? Backup.

"Does everything an OS is supposed to do"

What do you like best about DiskStation? DSM is the heart of the OS - everything you need in an operating system. Similar to a graphical Linux. Great for simple maintenance of the system. What do you dislike about DiskStation? Sometimes you're way better off using the command line thru Putty, as the graphical interface doesn't have all the fine controls. What problems is DiskStation solving and how is that benefiting you? Used to store and process about 36TB of video files.

What do you like best about DiskStation? Synology has some very solid products and the software is very easy to use and user friendly. What do you dislike about DiskStation? Some of the labeling is not intuitive. There are things that are not clear if you only go into the software occasionally. What do you like best about DiskStation? Using a laptop with limited space, I also enjoy the security of knowing my files are safe at home but accessible anywhere without any mothly cloud storage fees. What do you dislike about DiskStation? The operating system is a little sluggish and moments software is a little clunky. This may be as I have an older disk station ds215 What problems is DiskStation solving and how is that benefiting you? Expanded storage accessible anywhere.

What do you like best about DiskStation? Synology Disk Manager is a very easy to use operating system for the Synology Array. All the basic functionality that you would expect in a NAS operating system. Visibility into all NAS metric are available and easy to understand along with updates and patches being easy to identify and apply. The new CMS feature of Disk Manager provided a single pane of glass for monitoring additional Synology Arrays which was a nice added feature. What do you ...

What do you like best about DiskStation? I absolutely love the ease of use in all Synology products. The capabilities that this system has combined with the Administration ease is fantastic What do you dislike about DiskStation? Nothing. "Good Back up System"

What do you like best about DiskStation? The best feature for our use is the ability to automatically backup my team's machines without it being known to the user. My team isn't tech savvy. so having it backup in the background is very helpful and puts my team at ease. What do you dislike about DiskStation? To access the backend remotely via the web browser doesn't go well with some browsers. I have to figure out a security workaround to make it work. What problems is DiskStation solving ...

"A must have to suplement your cloud storage solution!"

What do you like best about DiskStation? I like that this unit is robust, reliable and quiet. I have a 4 disk NAS and installation is a breeze. Synology also has the ability to host numerous applications. I enjoyed having my own private Github before they opened up to free private repos. I love the Plex app being hosted on it as well since I leave this on all the time. What do you dislike about DiskStation? I dislike that I can't get my HD Homerun Live TV and DVR to work with Plex running ...

What do you like best about DiskStation? It is very simple and reliable, it works, compared to other NAS software it is lightyears ahead It also allows you to run different progrmas from within the NAS which makes it a powerhouse. What do you dislike about DiskStation? I think it could be faster, I don't like to wait long for folders to open up or for different "programs" to load on the screen.
