Great Product

What do you like best? What I like best about dbForge is how powerful and intuitive it is. Having multiple query tabs is very useful and makes life a whole a lot easier when working with mysql databases. What do you dislike? There's not much to dislike here, the program works perfectly and is easy to use! Recommendations to others considering the product: Use it! Very easy to get started! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Big step to a REAL data dictionary

What do you like best? As a new-to-MySQL person, db-forge has an omnibus capability to it, that the free tool lacks. And as a data scientist, I'm always short of data definitions so the ability to pull schemas off a db is FANTASTIC!!! What do you dislike? That the default is to pull 1000 records. In MS SQL one uses "Top 1000" to do this in the sql command. I'd rather have the choice of doing data pull limiting directly in my own SQL code. Recommendations to others considering the ...

A life-saver for MySQL

What do you like best? MySQL is a beast to manage and organize, but dbForge Studio put everything I need at my fingertips. It's best asset is making MySQL easy and efficient. I cannot tell you how many times I've used the export and import wizard to load every kind of file, and it's all there, and in the right spot. Same with the Database Explorer - I can name connections, and color code them for production, test, and anything else. It's exactly as I would want it to be, and it just makes ...

Easiest way to get to your data

What do you like best? Interface for sure.. I was using ACCESS to get to the DB but this honestly is more robust. What do you dislike? I wish it had a report writer like ACCESS we are currently still using access for this purpose Recommendations to others considering the product: Don't wait just install and you won't look back! If your using MS Access at all this will replace 90% or more of what you're doing. it has a visual interface for creating queries very much like ACCESS. ...

Very nice software

What do you like best? What do I like best? About everything. But if I had to pick, probably the DB compare features that can come in so handy, but let's not forget the "search" function that can search your whole database for some content, very handy when reverse engineering software. Other than that, the GUI is very neat. It's very streamlined with in-place edit everywhere. The query maker is one of the bests I've seen, probably THE BEST actually. The refactoring is really nice (only ...

Complete toolset for mySQL

What do you like best? The complete features, which are available. There is nothing, what I miss, when using dbForge Studio for MySQL. Also the auto-complete feature is extreme helpful. But the best, on this software is the possibility to debug stored procedures, what helps a lot, when something runs in the wrong direction What do you dislike? To be honest, there is not a lot, what I dislike. When to citissime something: The size adaption could be better. And the missing Integration ...

The best GUI to develop and maintain MySql databases with logic inside.

What do you like best? The developers of the GUI for DB were deceived by someone. They were inspired by the fact that a complete GUI should be able to create columns for a table, and it's best to do this in the Wizard. To work with data, it must perform export and import. And that's enough. It's very good that the dbForge Studio team did not believe this. As a result, the database developer quickly gained access to all (!) Types of database objects. For each type of object there is ...
