"High learning curve, good design features, and polished presentations"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I like the ability to build buttons, characters, incorporate interactive widgets and other elements. It's very easy and intuitive to layout your branching scenario. I've never had an issue changing the dimensions of a project to for a mobile display--Captivate is flexible that way. Projects are also easy to publish and prepare for LMS. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Not enough stock themes, higher learning curve than other authoring ...

"Initially Complicated to Learn, but Useful once Mastered"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I like the fact that Captivate has many features and tools you can use when developing online training modules. Additionally, publishing a module is very simple. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Some of the functionality can be challenging to learn if you're not initially familiar with other Adobe products such as Photoshop. Because there are so many icons, it's not intuitive at the beginning. I wouldn't have known how to use this ...

"Steady as it goes"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I have been using Captivate since the 4.0 version. I like that versions are quick to happen but..... What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Versions seem to be pushed out quick and then before you know it another version is ready. Wouldn't it be cost effective to everyone if the latest release was ready to go from the beginning? Don't be in such a hurry and release away. And another point about versions is that all version files should be ...

"Good for developing basic CBTs"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? It converts PPT decks to page turner CBTs in minutes. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? It crashes often when used to record simulations. Editing simulations is very very tedious too. What problems is Adobe Captivate solving and how is that benefiting you? It helped me create job aids, and videos captures with screen recording and audio.

"Great tool and easy to use"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Captivate is so easy that anyone can pick it up without any prior training. If you are interested in creating rapid development courses such as those done with lectora or storyline this is a great tool to use. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? I don't like the interface. Storyline uses a powerpoint type interface and lectora uses a similar one. Captivate has a more complicated interface that makes it harder to use. Also some LMS systems ...
