"Captivate is a good eLearning author platform — it’s just a few features away from being great."

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? The best thing about this platform is its approachability — people with low technological ability can still make basic presentations that export to non-proprietary file formats (HTML). Under that, it also holds a decent amount of functionality for tech-savvy users who want to incorporate responsive web objects and JavaScript into their projects. It does a pretty good job balancing the needs of both these audiences — I rarely feel limited by what ...

"Great for E-Learning Courses!"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Adobe Captivate is a fantastic program for any e-learning courses that you're looking to design. Whether you want to use animation, voice-over, issue quizzes, or build in logic, Captivate can do it all. It's mobile responsive, and can adapt to any environment your end user may need. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? As with all Adobe products, it can have a bit of a learning curve. If all you're looking for is quick slides, that's easy. ...

"Robust but clunky. "

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Love the versatility. The editing authoring options built in. The interactive features. Ability to do software simulations. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Multiple project combinations creates clunky, unreliable output. Have to jump through hoops to get output you need. Recommendations to others considering Adobe Captivate: Be sure that is the best authoring and designing tool out there. Cost can be high and output can be tricky. What ...

"Buggy, but there aren't many alternatives"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I like the variety of output you can create, whether simulations, traditional self-paced instruction, or a flash video for the en user. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? It does NOT play nicely with Windows 10. I've lost easily 300 hours of work, even when using 'save as' and naming my work in progress. While I should be able to recover Captivate files from the Cache, this only works about 40% of the time when using the two most recent ...

"Functional, but difficult "

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? This software can do almost anything you’re looking to do for creating interactive training elements, but it’s not user friendly. The learning curve to be productive is pretty steep, and if you really want a great looking course, you’ll need to combine skills with other software, like photoshop or illustrator. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? The interactions builders and programming options are not easy to use. Recommendations to ...

"Excellent video software"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I personally like the ability to import audio files to sync up with my video and manage them separately. I've used other editing software before that did not have this ability or actually required you to create the audio at the same time. You can also import video files from other sources so I can use multiple tools with different capabilities (if necessary) to get the job done. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? I cannot record audio ...

"Adobe Captivate for Building"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? There are some newer features that are easy to use and helpful for learning modules What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate?
