Leading AI Based Startup Source.ag Closes $23 Million Funding
By equipping global growers with AI, Source.ag, an agtech business founded in 2020, is expediting access to fresh produce
To create the most sophisticated artificial intelligence for the industry, Source.ag has worked with the top growers in the world and assembled a team of skilled engineers and plant scientists.
They use millions of data points on environment, biology, and resources to build and implement optimal production strategies using their in-house developed algorithms that simulate plant behavior.
“Our technology provides growers with real-time, highly tailored advice on how to optimally grow their crops, and we support them in running a successful growing operation. We are proud to have Astanor Ventures, Acre Ventures Partners, and leading Dutch growers’ continued support in our mission to empower the world’s growers. With this funding, we’ll introduce further groundbreaking products so even more growers can scale healthy food production and feed more people in a sustainable way.’’
says Kamman, CEO, and co-founder of Source.ag
A number of the top greenhouse operators in the Netherlands and Acre Venture Partners also contributed to the round, which was led by Astanor Ventures.
The funding will be used to launch two innovative new AI solutions that will promote secure, dependable, and climate-resilient food production by assisting greenhouse growers with guidance on how to grow their crops most effectively.
Additionally, the investment will enable Source.ag to develop its AI and support even more crop varieties and farming practices.
