At SpotSaaS, we invited Siddhartha Gunti – who is the Co-Founder at Adafaceto highlight their business growth strategy for our latest series #SaaSTalks.
Let’s dive deep into the business growth strategies of Adaface and understand more about their business model through a series of questions that Siddhartha Gunti answered for us!
1- How has your journey into the world of SaaS been so far?
Our SaaS made its first dollar from the internet 4 years ago. From a product made by two introverted Indian engineers sitting in Singapore and selling to someone in UAE. 4 years later, that’s 1200+ companies in 75 countries. It is extremely rewarding that we are able to help companies, big and small, hire and build the best teams. Even better is when candidates are having a stress-free conversational test experience and are leaving the test with a smile, irrespective of the test result.
2- What are some common product-related queries you receive from your prospective product users?
Typically users want to customize the platform according to their hiring process and tools. This increases the number of feature requests from users and most of the requests are unique to the company. For a self-serve product like ours, it is important to ensure we are not adding features that are specific to an organization and moving towards becoming a services based company instead of a product platform.
3- What gaps did you see in the demand of users, which led you to further optimise offerings of Adaface?
There are easily >100 pre-employment screening tools out there. So why did we go ahead and build another one? Most of the companies using the traditional screening tools face the issue of inaccurate results because of trick questions asked in these tests. Adaface has a strict no-trick questions policy. We designed our product and questions pool to screen for on-the-job skills. Another problem the industry faces is poor test taking rates. Adaface offers short (<40min) coding tests and aptitude tests to ensure higher test taking rates.
4- How does Adaface offer customisation to users- based on industries, geographies & verticals?
We are a global self-serve product used around the world and customers are acquired completely by organic marketing. There is not much customization that depends on geography or industry.
We do provide an option to customize Adaface tests as per company’s JD. Ex: Java role in IT firm will look different than Java role in a tech startup. Companies get a chance to mix-and-match questions that are relevant to their role.
5- Which 3 software do you use at your workplace & why?
Github copilot – Makes programming 3x easier
Discord – Poison of choice for workplace communication.
Adaface – We use Adaface to hire for Adaface
6- Which growth channels are you focusing on now, after almost 4 successful years of operations?
Organic marketing has been our sole growth channel. It continues to be the main focus.
7- Any recommendations to SaaS founders, growing & evolving in the SaaS industry?
