Razorpay Picks 80 Percent Stake In Ezetap

80 percent of Ezetap was purchased by Razorpay for about $150 million.

According to Razorpay CEO and Co-Founder Harshil Mathur, this acquisition will help Razorpay create a full-stack omnichannel solution because Ezetap’s POS enables businesses to accept payments in-store and during delivery. With 500,000 touchpoints, the latter offers services to both offline and online retailers like Amazon and BigBasket as well as banks like HDFC and Axis Bank.

He also added, to date, our products have made online payment for businesses simpler, to assist entrepreneurs in scaling and growing in a digital environment. We will be able to develop a breakthrough omnichannel solution for our businesses by fusing our experience creating for the online world with Ezetap’s in-depth expertise in the in-person payment arena.
