Leading SaaS Startup Portside Raises Astounding $50 Million
San Francisco, CA-based Portside that provides Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for the aviation industry raised Series B funding.
For the worldwide business aviation sector, Portside is a cutting-edge, cloud-based operating system that consists of a collection of integrated software solutions that deal with the sector’s most pressing problems. Inspired to build a tech-forward solution, Alek Vernitsky and Alek Strygin co-founded Portside.
The platform is a collection of cutting-edge cloud-based business aviation apps. Its product line helps a typical flight department operate in a variety of ways, including scheduling, dispatching, and compliance for flights and crew; communication with aircraft owners, passengers, and crew; highly customizable sharing of operational, financial, crew, and maintenance data with various stakeholders; reporting and analytics; customer billing; hiring crew; and making reservations for crew lodging.
“Increasingly, operators in business aviation are looking for mobile-first and cloud-based solutions. Portside provides industry leading solutions that enable operators to grow their businesses while improving the quality of service they can offer. Our focus on the customer and delivering secure, intuitive, and effective solutions make our tech the best solution for all private, corporate, and government flight departments,”
said Alek Vernitsky, co-founder and CEO of Portside.
The investment round was led by global software investor Insight Partners, with participation from existing investors, including I2BF Global Ventures.
“Business aviation grew tremendously during the pandemic, and we grew about 3x per year over the past few years. Business aviation is continuing to grow, and we intend to continue developing innovative products for the industry,”
said Alek Vernitsky, co-founder and CEO of Portside.
The team suggests, the capital from the latest funding round will be put toward software development and “further expanding” Portside’s customer base and product portfolio. The startup employs 110 people currently and expects to grow to 150 by the end of the year.
Congratulations team Portside, from team SpotSaaS
