Octomind Raises $4.8 Million In Seed Funding
SaaS startup Octomind has secured $4.8 million in seed funding led by Cherry Ventures. The investment fuels its mission of revolutionizing software development and testing with AI, aiming for a bug-free future.
Octomind, an AI-powered end-to-end test platform for web apps, has raised $4.8 million in seed funding led by Cherry Ventures. Notable angels like Sean Mullaney from Algolia, Charlie Songhurst, and Lutz Finger also contributed.
This new funding will help the company improve its AI skills in understanding and navigating web apps. It will enable them to pinpoint and test important user flows accurately. They aim to craft a seamless, bug-free user experience that stands the test of real-world application.
Marc Mengler, co-founder and CEO of Octomind shared: “Thanks to no-code tools and AI, everyone can generate web apps. But that’s not the whole story. They also need an expert who guarantees that the generated code doesn’t contain bugs. We’ve built Octomind to be that testing expert.”
Jasper Masemann, partner at Cherry Ventures said: “Octomind addresses one of the world’s largest ($38B) and least automated markets that can be augmented by AI. Today, software testing is the single most hated task for developers. Yet, more and more CTOs expect devs to do the testing themselves, which grows the total market to $184B worldwide. Thanks to their impressive experience and well-advanced AI agent product, I believe Octomind will make developers love software testing soon.”

The company believes in empowering developers to concentrate on building amazing software while leaving repetitive testing tasks to an intelligent system that can automatically fix bugs as they appear.
