Avataar Venture Partners, a SaaS and B2B technology-focused growth-stage venture capitalist has launched a new fund with a target size of $350 Mn.
The fund had had its first closure, according to the firm, with participation from well-known institutional investors from the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
The venture capital firm has also begun making investments from its new fund, and talks are ongoing with a number of businesses that are raising their Series C and other early growth stages.
The creation of the fund draws attention to the expanding market opportunity in the B2B technology and SaaS sectors, which have held up well despite the funding cold.
It has previously raised two funds. Its portfolio firms include the unicorn SaaS wellness unicorn Zenoti, the retail analytics unicorn Algonomy, the HRTech unicorn Sense, and unicorn media software startup Amagi.
