Sapia.ai funding

Sapia.ai, a company that uses AI to deliver diversity and inclusion in recruiting, today announced a $17 million Series A financing led by Macquarie Capital and the venture capital arm of Woolworths Group, W23.

The technology solution developed by Sapai.ai and the way it is utilising AI to improve how businesses approach and tackle diversity and inclusion issues have pleased and delighted Dan Phillips, co-founder of Macquarie Capital’s Venture Capital unit.

“While diversity has long been discussed, many businesses still lack the tools necessary to effect lasting change.” According to Phillips, the main reason for this is that we don’t acknowledge our prejudices.

Sapia aims to assist businesses in attracting and retaining talent at scale. With its comprehensive DEI analytics platform and blind, automated chat interview, Sapia’s technology is the first to eliminate biases that exist in conventional hiring practices and produce fair results for job seekers and employers.
