Biometric identity & payments platform- Wink raises a mind-blowing $3 million
The new seed round was led by Cerracap Ventures and joined by Flying Point Industries.
For quick, secure password-free login and payment experiences, Wink offers a multifactor biometric identification and payments platform that is device-independent and integrates superior face and voice recognition, AI, advanced ML, and ChatGPT technology. One of the leading biometric firms, Wink is pursuing a number of patents on the use of biometrics in password-free authentication, e-commerce, retail, and auto payments.
Wink, with offices in Plano, TX, and California, has raised an additional $3 million in early money. The $2.85 million that was previously raised in a pre-seed round in 2021–2022 is followed by this seed equity financing.
Cerracap Ventures, Flying Point Industries, and various family offices from Texas and California participated in the new seed round, which was also led by Cerracap Ventures.
“We are excited to have continued support from investors who see the game-changing potential of biometrics in authentication, payments, and the platform’s applicability across all industries. We are committed to weeding out passwords and loophole-ridden legacy authentication methods by offering a modern decentralized biometrics-based platform that leaves no room for account compromise. We are grateful to have successful and like-minded investors in Cerracap Ventures backing our vision of delivering people-first authentication and payments that are utilizable by any institution, irrespective of industry, size, or location.”
said Deepak Jain, founder, and chief executive officer, of Wink.
With the additional cash, Wink is better positioned to develop and market its robust biometric identity and payment technology.
