New York Based Raises $10 Million
A $10 million seed fundraising round has been completed by Capitol, a New York-based AI system that assists healthcare insurers in making crucial decisions by graphically unlocking data and avoiding decision bottlenecks.
Investors participated in Based Funding.
Designer Fund, Fuel Capital, Tokyo Black (founder of Looker), Brian Chesky (founder and CEO of Airbnb), Chase Coleman III (founder of Tiger Global), Nomad Capital, AirAngels, Sanno Capital, and John McCormick also took part in the round, which was led by 468 Capital (formerly Blackstone).
Shaun Modi, CEO of Capitol, said, “most healthcare analytic tools are not built for business users, which means insight generation is painstakingly slow and built on clunky legacy products.” We address that by delegating tasks to our platform and allowing AI to discover insights. We produce a visual narrative for our users so they can engage in guided analytics without needing to be data or design experts.
With the help of the company’s Data Stories Platform, users in the healthcare industry now have new access to data that can be used to detect fraud quickly, identify cost savings, and enhance the quality of treatment.
